I have been painting since childhood, taking lessons from my mother and many other artists along the way. I enjoy all subject matter including landscapes, life painting and drawing, still life, and abstract. Painting has been a lifelong interest and passion for me.
My creativity is driven by feeling and intuition. My paintings usually begin with an attraction to either a colour combination, a mood, or something I have seen in nature or the objects around me.
I have been able to attend many master classes through Hazelhurst Regional Gallery, Gymea, gaining exposure to well-known artists and their practice. I have also shown my work in many art exhibitions over the years and been a member of art societies such as Royal Art Society, Continuum, St George Art Society, Friends of Hazelhurst., Contemporary Art Space, Wollongong and Bowral Art Society where I received a “Commended” in the John Copes Prize in 2005. My work has also been exhibited in both Hazelhurst Regional and Hazelhurst Community Gallery.
